Participation in Kenya’s 2017 presidential elections by county

79 percent of registered voters in Kenya voted in the 2017 presidential election according to IEBC data.

This map shows the participation in each county (total votes vs voters registered). 15,454,804 votes were counted for 19,627,248 people registered as voters. You can play around with the map for more details.

The counties with the highest participation were Murang’A, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Nyeri and Migori. The lowest participation was recorded in Turkana, Kilifi, Kwale, Garissa and Mombasa. The number of total votes is based on the official IEBC website extracted on 11th August in the morning. The data for registered voters comes a report on the audit of the register of voters as published on 9th June.
